BLOG 5

I just wanted to thank everyone who read and participated in my posts this quarter, I know it has been a long and difficult journey on this advocacy train. This semester has been full of ups and downs with creating and working our advocacy plans. I am sure that have been some major bumps in the road but we are almost finished.
We have come a long way from taking our first Kendall class. I appreciate the kind words of support and the heated discussions about subjects. This semester has been very interesting and a lot of hard work and dedication. I wish everyone the best in this class and all their future endeavors.

BLOG Module 4
Questions you have with which your colleagues may be able to provide help and support
My questions are related to making a difference. How are we supposed to make a difference as one person in the community? I have been working really hard this semester to try and make people aware in the agency, but how can I extend this to the community? How do I get the word out there? Social media sites are limited for me, because I do not feel confident on technology and this semester is almost over how do I keep this going?
Resources and information you are seeking
Who do I contact outside of my district? Who can I talk to or send information to get the word out there?
Resources and/or information you have found helpful and insightful
The center site’s director, coordinator of parent’s involvement has been very helpful for me. They had provided me with information for advocacy and with names of professional advocates. This information was useful for me especially when I was compiling my sources and contacts for advocacy.
